Wednesday Nite Quispamsis Arts and Culture Park

The Honeyboys are a blues band based in Saint John, New Brunswick. They play the blues: originals, the Chicago greats, contemporary gems, and reimagined, bluesifed songs from other places on the musical map. The Honeyboys are Grant Heckman (vocals, guitar), Fred Stilwell (keyboards), Terry Patterson (drums), and Mike Hanlon (bass).

Shannex - Parkland in The Valley

Jazztet - Led by Greg Marks (singer/saxophonist), this versatile and experienced group features some of the finest musicians in New Brunswick playing traditional and modern jazz standards.

Jennifer Power - This well known songstress enertains with hot Latin and pop tunes.

Theresa Patterson - this delightful singer will be joined by local jazz performers Greg Marks and Richard Kidd for an evening of your favourite jazz and pop standards.

The Instigators with Grant "Honeyboy" Heckman ~ 4:00 pm

The Instigators opened the Blues Blast with rockabilly favourites. The Instigators are Scott Medford (vocals, guitar), Mike Hanlon (bass), & Terry Patterson (drums) with special guest with Grant "Honeyboy" Heckman (vocals, guitar).

What The Funk ~ 5:45 pm

Along with their 3 piece horn section What The Funk played favourite Soul, Funk and Motown classics. Nichi Boyle, Huey Lord, Will Savage, Stu MacDougall, John McLaggan, Don White, Hank Fletcher, Mark Reid make up this dynamic group.

Theresa Malenfant & The Instigators with Katey Day ~ 7:30 pm

Rave reviews follow Theresa wherever she sings. An East Coast Music Award winner, Theresa's singing captures full audience attenton whenever she performs. She is a longtime favourite of Blues Blast.

The Mellotones ~ 9:30 pm

This nine piece ensemble is Halifax's premier dance band. The lead singer with a saxophone hanging from his neck strap is Jeffery Mosher and his amazing ensemble includes Ian Mosher, Jody Lyne, Brad Conrad, Mike Farrington Jr, Lil Thomas, Eric Landry, Damien Moynihan and Sean Weber. These musicians started enhancing their skills at a young age to give them the confidence and charisma to wow their audience. With a four piece horn section, they performed the dance classics the way they were intended.
